MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State returns to action this weekend, hosting North Alabama at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center Saturday afternoon.
The match is scheduled to begin at 1:30 pm.
Alabama State (0-1) looks to rebound from a season-opening loss to Alabama on the road this week by hosting the Lions, a team they dropped a 4-1 decision to last season before the COVID-19 pandemic ended the season. In that match,
Madalena Andrade won her match in straight sets at number one singles, while
Bea Acena was in the third set of her match at number three singles. Despite dropping the doubles' point, the team of
Urska Velec and Acena trailed by just one point at 4-3 in a match that was unfinished.
The two met just three days before the season was abruptly halted last season.
Admission is free to all home tennis matches; however, Alabama State is a mask mandatory campus at all venues.
