GAME NOTES
- The Hornets are coming off a 2-1 stretch last week in the Southwestern Athletic Conference Cluster, hosted by Florida A&M in the Al Lawson Center. Alabama State fell to Southern in their opening game of the event and later defeated Alcorn State and Prairie View A&M.
- The weekend's matchups against the Rattlers and Wildcats will both be the first games between teams as members of the same conference, as both Bethune-Cookman and Florida A&M joined the SWAC this fall.
- Alabama State and Bethune-Cookman have faced off ten times – the first in 1997, and the last being in 2010 – the Hornets have never beaten the Wildcats.
- The Hornets have faced off against the Rattlers on five occasions in the last 25 years, with the first meeting in 1997, and the last in 2019. Alabama State is currently 1-4 in the series over that span with their win being a 3-1 match in the season-opening MEAC/SWAC Challenge on August 30, 2019.
- Junior Alexis Ratliff (Atlanta, Ga.) has logged three consecutive games with double-digit kills, including a season-high 16 against Prairie View on October 10.
