Lady Hornets host Troy this weekend, match moved to Sunday

MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State returns home this weekend, hosting Troy at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center.

The match was originally scheduled for Saturday but has been moved to Sunday morning due to projected rainfall in the central Montgomery.

Alabama State (0-3) is in search of its first win of the season after dropping a match earlier this week to Mercer at home. A trio of players have picked up individual wins in singles' play through the first three matches of the season, including Madalena Andrade at number one after winning her match against the Bears. Meanwhile, Bea Acena (number four) and Urska Velec (number three) have each picked up wins individually.

The team of Acena and Velec also have a win to their credit in doubles at number two.

Troy will be playing their first match of the year after having their first matches – Florida State, Southern Miss, and Alabama A&M postponed.
