MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State looks to remain unbeaten in Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) play with a pair of road games against Southern and Jackson State beginning Friday.
Alabama State (1-2-1, 1-0-1 SWAC) enters the weekend after a 5-0 win against UAPB and a 1-1 draw against Grambling State last Sunday. The Lady Hornets face Southern Friday afternoon at 4 pm in Baton Rouge (La.) and then face Jackson State at 1 pm Sunday afternoon.
Teaggan Ilela leads a trio of players with five points through four matches for Alabama State with a goal and three assists, while
McKenna Lupori and
Kassandra Schoen each have a pair of goals and five points through the first four matches of the season. Meanwhile,
Rylee Stoehner has added four points with a pair of goals this season.
Madison Roop has come on strong in conference play in the net, recording 20 saves in four matches with three starts. She has recorded a 1-1-1 record in goal for Alabama State so far this season.
