Match Recap: Men's Tennis |

Hornets fall at home in non-conference action

MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State had their three-match winning streak snapped at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center Saturday afternoon, falling to Belmont 7-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Alabama State (5-4) dropped the doubles' point to fall behind 1-0, before dropping the six singles matches on the day. Assil Boussayri took his match to three sets before falling 6-2, 3-6, 10-7 once the overall match was clinched. Another pair of matches forced tiebreakers in the second set including Chris Andre at number one where he fell 6-0, 7-6.

Juan Rodriguez took his match to a tiebreaker at number four before falling 6-3, 7-6.

Alabama State returns to action the weekend of March 13-14 in the SWAC Pod Two hosted in Montgomery on the Alabama State University campus.
