HOUSTON, Texas | Alabama State will remain in the Lone Star state of Texas for a Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) road contest against Texas Southern to conclude their road trip inside of the H&PE Arena on Monday. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 pm.
 
Alabama State (5-10, 4-2 SWAC) currently leads the all-time series between the two programs 50-36 and holds a 18-24 record in Houston.

• Alabama State is looking to split their Texas trip as they fell to Prairie View A&M on Saturday, January 22 by a score of 61-58.
• The Hornets are currently third in the SWAC standings at 4-2, one game behind Southern and one game ahead of Arkansas-Pine Bluff who is 4-3 in conference play.
• Head Coach Freda Freeman-Jackson is 30-17 against Texas Southern during her tenure, dating back 24 years.
