MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State will return to the confines of the Dunn-Oliver Acadome for a two-game home stint on Saturday afternoon. Tip-off is scheduled for 12 pm.

The matchup between the two programs is the only game inside the Dunn-Oliver Acadome on Saturday, as the men's programs will play in part of the inaugural Bridge Builders Classic held in Mobile at the Mitchell Center on the South Alabama campus at 7 pm.

For those attending the game in Montgomery, a negative COVID test within 72 hours is required for entry into the arena.

GAME NOTES
- Saturday's game is the first game between these two programs as conference opponents, and just their third overall matchup in the all-time series. Each team has taken one game in the series, with Bethune-Cookman winning the first matchup on December 28, 2002, while Alabama State taking the second on December 13, 2003.
- Alabama State has three double-figure scorers this season in All-SWAC performers Ayana Emmanuel (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) at 13.1 points per game, followed by Shmya Ward (Memphis, Tenn.) and Jayla Crawford (Birmingham, Ala.) who average 10.6 and 10.1 points respectively.
- The Hornets are looking to get back in the win column after a rough road trip last weekend, while also extending their current home win streak. They are currently 4-1 at home with the lone loss being to Jackson State on January 8.
- Bethune-Cookman is 3-13 overall and 2-5 in conference play in their first year as members of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) after moving from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC).
- The Wildcats had lost two straight before earning a win by forfeit over Alcorn State on Monday, January 24. They have not won consecutive games so far during this 2021-22 season.
- B-CU has three players scoring over nine points a game in leading scorers Morgan Beacham and Taylor Williams at 9.8 points per game, followed by Taylor Williams and Tania White who averages 9.3 points each. Meanwhile, Kayla White and Kayla Clark average 7.7 and 7.4 points respectively for a total of five players who average at least seven points per contest.
