Hornets Soccer Takes Down Alabama A&M On Magic City Weekend

MONTGOMERY, Ala. | In the final homestand of the season, the Alabama State women's soccer team took down conference rival Alabama A&M, 3-1 on Friday (Oct. 28) inside ASU Soccer Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • McKinley Hacker found the back of the net just 12 minutes into the contest on an assist from Kassandra Schoen to give ASU a 1-0 advantage.
  • Grace Norbury extended the Lady Hornets advantage to 2-0 on a score in the 63rd minute on a feed from Isabella Beortegui.
  • AAMU's Victoria Mealing cut the deficit to one with the Bulldogs first goal in the 68th minute of the second half.
  • Kassandra Schoen sealed the win for Alabama State in the 85th minute with a high-left strike on a feed from Brooklyn Broderick.
