- DonYeil Bolton netted the game's first points to put Alabama State ahead 2-0 early in the opening quarter.
- The Lady Hornets shot 5-of-13 from the floor to end the first quarter down 20-11.
- Steele ended the first half with a team-high seven points, but Auburn's advantage grew to 42-23 heading into the intermission.
- Alabama State went on a 5-0 run early in the third quarter to cut the AU lead to 44-30 with 8:23 to play.Â
- Auburn answered with a 10-2 run to build the lead to 53-30 after a Aicha Coulibaly free trhow with just over three minutes in the third quarter.
- Auburn outscored the Lady Hornets 18-12 to hold a 60-35 advantage at the end of three quarters.Â
- Auburn shot 60 percent from the floor and was4-for-6 from 3-point range and outscored ASU 28-14 in the fourth quarter. Â
