HOW IT HAPPENED
- An Amarr Knox 3-pointer and a layup at the 13:11 mark of the first half gave the Hornets a 13-6 lead.Â
- Alex Anderson's 3-pointer put ASU up 16-10 before EIU fought back to tie the game 19-19 with 7:58 remaining.Â
- The Hornets built a 30-23 lead on baskets by TJ Madlock and know layup with under three minutes to go before halftime.Â
- Alex Anderson layup to push the lead to 35-26 with 42 second left, only to see a Kyle Carlesimo three cut the lead to 35-29.Â
- A Jordan O'Neal free throw with no time on the clock sent the Hornets into halftime with a 36-29 advantage.Â
- Knox and Anderson led ASU's first half scoring with 14 and 10 points, respectively, while ASU held a 26-16 edge on the boards.Â
- The Panthers started the second half on a 6-0 run to cut the ASU lead to 36-35 just over two minutes into the second half.
- Anderson made a 3-pointer, and an O'Neal layup extended the lead to 43-37 with under 16:00 left in the second half.
