@BamaStateMBB Falls Short in First of Three Game Road Stint

ATLANTA, Ga. | Alex Anderson logged a team-high 12 points but could not overcome the Georgia Tech scoring effort as the Hornets fell short to the Yellow Jackets 96-60 on Saturday (Dec. 17) inside McCamish Pavilion.

HOW IT HAPPENED 
  • Amarr Knox stopped Georgia Tech's early 6-0 run with a three-pointer to put Alabama State on the board just two minutes into the contest.
  • Antonio Madlock knocked down a jumper followed by a transition layup from Isaiah Range but GT's lead grew to 14 (21-7) with 14 minutes to play in the first half.
  • The Hornets cut the deficit to ten points (21-11) after Alex Anderson knocked down a floater with 12 minutes left in the first half.
  • Georgia Tech's lead grew to 23 points at the under-four media timeout.
  • The Hornets headed into the intermission down 55-20 to the Yellow Jackets. Antonio Madlock logged a team-high six points.
  • Isaiah Ranged threw down a dunk to open the second half and cut the deficit to 33 with 14 seconds gone off the clock.
  • Alabama State put together a 5-0 run with four minutes left to play in the second half.
  • Despite 7 points from Isaiah Range in the second half, the Hornets fell to the Yellow Jackets 96-60.
