MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State hits the road for a pair of non-conference matches this weekend in Mobile, facing Southeastern Louisiana on Saturday and South Alabama on Sunday.
Alabama State (0-2) enters the weekend following a 5-2 loss to Troy on Wednesday, a match in which
Sahra Bouchaala (Aix-En-Provence, France) picked up a win in singles and doubles play. She was able to pull away for a straight set victory at number one, while
Bea Acena (Dubai, UAE) picked up a win for Alabama State at number five.
The meeting between Alabama State and Southeastern Louisiana (February 12 / 2 pm) will be the first meeting in school history, while the meeting with South Alabama on Sunday will be the third matchup between the two schools but the first since a South Alabama win on January 26, 2014.
