MOBILE, Ala. | Alabama State dropped a 6-0 decision to South Alabama on Sunday, closing out the weekend in the Port City splitting a pair of matches.
Alabama State (1-3) dropped the doubles point although a pair of matches were close, including one that was not completed. The number two team of
Anja Hribljan (Novi Sad, Serbia) and
Ana Tarbujaru (Ramnicu Valcea, Romania) dropped a 6-4 decision at number two, while the number three team of
Sahra Bouchaala (Aix-En-Provence, France) and
Timothee Legaud (Severac, France) did not finish their match as they were tied at 5-all when the point was decided.
In singles play, South Alabama was able to win all five of the matches that were decided in straight sets despite Hribljan dropping a 7-5 first set at number three singles and Legaud by the same score at number six.
