MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State fell 4-0 in a non-conference battle with Western Kentucky on Wednesday afternoon at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center.
Doubles Play
- Alabama State dropped the doubles' point to Western Kentucky after dropping matches at number two and three.
- The number one team of Lizaveta Demchenko (Mogilev, Balarus) and teammate Ana Tarbujaru (Ramnicu Valcea, Romania) were trailing just 4-3 when the point was decided.
Singles Play
- Alabama State dropped three games in singles as Anja Hribljan (Novi Sad, Serbia) fell 0-6, 1-6 followed by a loss from Demchenko 3-6, 1-6 at number three.
- The Hornets dropped the final game at number six where Tarbujaru fell by scores of 2-6, 4-6.

Alabama State returns to action on Sunday at Florida A&M, with the match scheduled to begin at 10 am eastern time.
