- Alabama State knotted the score at 1-1 in the 52nd minute when Kassandra Shoen found the back of the net on a feed from McKenna Lupori.
- Gardner-Webb reclaimed the lead, 2-1 on a penalty kick goal from Maddie Turlington in the 72nd minute.
