MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Alabama State University (ASU) womens' soccer team fell short, 2-0 to the Stetson University (SU) Hatters on September 4, 2022 inside the ASU Soccer Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Stetson struck first on a score from Chloe Washington in the 63rd minute to give the Hatters a 1-0 advantage.
• Jillian Therrien followed up 17 minutes later with a strike to the upper left corner for a score in the 80th minute to extend Stetson's lead to 2-0.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Alabama State managed nine shots with just two on target. 
• Stetson recorded 21 shots with 11 on goal and two scores.
• Sheila Sanchez registered nine saves on the day with two goals allowed for ASU.
• Stetson's Sarah Grimmett collected two saves with no goals allowed. 
• Briana Sites (3), Elli Higashi (2), Paige Patton (1), Kassandra Shoen (1), Katherine Nedved (1), and Madison Tyler (1) all registered shots for ASU.
