 HOW IT HAPPENED 

• Jackson State took a 2-0 lead before the Hornets went on a 7-1 run to take a 7-3 lead with 15:39 to go in the first half.
• The Tigers went on an 8-0 run to take a 15-9 lead on a Ken Evans 3-pointer with under 10-minutes to play in the first half. 
• Alex Anderson hit a pair of free throws, and a 3-pointer by Isaiah Range tied the game 16-16 with 6:21 left in the first half. 
• Trailing 21-16, a Duane Posey layup and two Range free throws cut the JSU lead to 21-20 at the 3:31 mark. 
• The Hornets went on an 8-3 run to cut the Tigers' lead to 29-28 with 1:35 left in the first half. 
• An Evans layup in the final minute gave Jackson State a 31-28 halftime advantage. 
• Range's basket to open the second half cut the deficit to 31-30 before a 7-2 spurt by JSU pushed the lead to 38-32. 
• Roland McCoy drained a 3-pointer followed by a TJ Madlock layup tied the game 39-39 just over 4:00 into the second half. 
• Jordan O'Neal hit a free throw to give the Hornets a 30-39 lead with 13:33 before Jamarcus Jones' rebound and basket put JSU ahead 41-40. 
• A 9-0 run gave the Tigers a 50-43 lead with 10:40 to play in the second half. 
• Range and Madlock each nailed 3-pointers to cut the deficit to 52-49 with under 10 minutes left in the contest. 
• Back-to-Back baskets by Zeke Cook push the Tigers' lead to 58-51 with 4:31 remaining. 
• JSU held a 58-51 before the Hornets went on an 8-1 run to cut the Tiger lead to 59-58 with :31 left in the game. 
• Trailing 61-58 with :24 left, the Hornets couldn't get two game-tying 3-pointers by Madlock and Roland McCoy to fall.
