HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | Alabama State had its season come to a close Friday night, dropping a 1-0 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) contest to Alabama A&M in the regular season finale.

Alabama A&M (3-15, 3-6 SWAC) scored early in the first half and held off Alabama State (2-12-3, 1-6-2 SWAC) in the second half as the Lady Hornets were able to get six shots.

Lauryn Starwood recorded another double-digit effort in goal with 11 saves in the loss in 90 minutes of play. For the year, she finished with 149 total saves including seven matches with double-figure saves.
