HOW IT HAPPENED
- Kindall DeRamus reached on a infield single and came home on a throwing error after Madison Myers reached on an infield single for 1-0 Alabama State lead.
- A pair of two-run doubles by Destiny Cuevas and Nyah Morgan gave FAMU a 4-1 lead in the top of the third inning.
- Alex Preston hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the third inning to cut the deficit to 4-3.
- Kiana Parrish sacrifice fly to center field tied the contest 4-4 in the fifth.
- Aleix Denby and Preston drew walks to start the seventh inning. Denby scored on Scott's single up the middle after moving to third a double steal.
IN THE CIRCLE
- Bailey Greenlee (9-5) went the distance for the sixth time this season, recording 10 strikeouts while allowing four runs on nine hits.
- Nadia Zenteno (4-4) suffered the loss for the Rattlers, allowing five runs on eight hits with four strikeouts.
INSIDE THE BOX
- Preston's third inning home run was her fourth of the season.
- The Lady Hornets stole seven bases led by DeRamus and Denby each with two steals.
- DeRamus, who went 2-for-4, is now 27-for-27 on the season in stolen bases.
