HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | Alabama State got four scoreless innings from its bullpen and scored nine unanswered runs in the process to defeat Alabama A&M University 11-3 on Friday at Bulldog Baseball Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Alabama A&M scored two runs off a Tommy Easley RBI triple and Jalen Parker RBI single to take a 2-0 lead.
- Kyler McIntosh doubles and scored a Jayden Sloan single and Jamal George singled home Sloan to tie the game.
- The Bulldogs grabbed a 3-2 lead in the fourth on a Jared Tibbett RBI ground out.
- The Hornets plated five runs in the sixth erase the deficit and take a 7-3 lead. Trent Jamison walked and scored on a Ian Matos double and Matos later scored on a McIntosh sac-fly. Cristian Lopez followed with an RBI single and Jamal George doubled in a run.
- The Hornets scored three in the seventh to push the lead to 10-3. Corey King drove in a run and Lopez had two RBI in the inning.
- Alabama State added on a when Sloan reached on an error in the ninth to close the scoring.
- Austin King yielded a hit with a strikeout in the bottom of the ninth to close the game.

- Omar Melendez (5-0) worked 5.0 innings, yielding three runs on six hits with four strikeouts to earn the win.
- Jackson Hall allowed 11 runs on 11 hits with six strikeouts to suffer the loss for the Bulldogs.
- Sebastian Colon scattered two hits over 3.0 scoreless innings with four strikeouts in relief.
- King recorded a strikeout in a scoreless ninth.
