New Orleans, La. | The Alabama State men's tennis program was victorious over Alcorn State, 4-0, at the City Park Tennis Center on Saturday in the second round of the Southwestern Athletic Conference Tournament.
The Match
- Juan Rodriguez and David J. Grandinot opened the day with a 6-1 win on court two against Isaac Santitto and Luka Rodic
- Sam Bajracharya and Ruan Du Preez captured a 6-2 win against Dakota Fernandez and Nikola Kijac moments later on court one to clinch the double points
- Matis Amier was the first Alabama State player to post a win in singles play after Luka Andonov retired due to injury
- Kristofer Johnson followed on court five, going 6-0, 6-0 against Isaac Santitto
- Ruan Du Preez closed out the match with a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Nikola Kijac
