MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State University softball claimed a 6-3 win over Alabama A&M University to win the series 2-1 on Sunday at the Barbara Williams Softball Complex on Saturday.
Bailey Greenlee struck out eight while allowing no hits over 4.0 scoreless innings in the circle while
Kindall DeRamus drove in two runs and had three hits.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Alana Scott singled home DeRamus to give Alabama State a 1-0 lead in the first inning.
- The Lady Hornets took a 4-0 lead after a three-run second inning.
- Jaeda Gardner's RBI single scored Greenlee and DeRamus singled home Gardner before DeRamus laster scored on a wild pitch.
- DeRaumus had an RBI double and Madison Myers recorded an RBI single to give Alabama State a 6-0 lead in the fourth Inning.
- Venice Sanders had an RBI triple during a two-run sixth and an RBI single in the seventh to cut the deficit to 6-3.
IN THE CIRCLE
- Greenlee (15-8) recorded eight strikeouts and work 4.0 scoreless innings with no hits allowed to earn the win.
- Paige Scott gave up six runs on 10 hits over 4.0 innings to take the loss for the Bulldogs.
