HOW IT HAPPENED
- Kindall DeRamus led off the game with a single and would later score on a Alana Scott sacrifice fly to give the Lady Hornets a 1-0 lead.
- Alexia Denby homered to centerfield to start the second inning and give the Lady Hornets a 2-0 lead.
- DeRamus started the fourth with a bunt single before staling second and later scoring on a throwing error.
- Alabama State added five runs in the fifth to take an 8-0 lead.
- Kiana Parrish and Dendy had RBI doubles in the fifth inning to push the lead to 5-0.
- Jaeda Rogers and Madison Myers drove in runs while one run scored on a wild pitch to cap the fifth inning with the Lady Hornets holding a 8-0 lead.
- Ashley Pye tossed a scoreless fifth to close the game.

- Greenlee (15-8) tossed her ninth complete game, tossing 5.0 scoreless innings with four strikeouts and only one hit allowed.
- Morgan Gutierrez (0-9) took the loss for MVSU, giving up eight runs, seven earned, off 14 hits.
