CLINTON, S.C. | The Alabama State University baseball team suffered a 6-2 setback on the road to Presbyterian College on Tuesday at the PC Baseball Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ Â
- Presbyterian College broke on top 3-0 in the bottom of the first inning. Joel Drago drove in two runs with a double and he later scored on a Dalton Reeves base knock.Â
- The Hornets got on the board in the fourth. Jack Hay worked a walk and scored on a Corey King double to cut the PC lead to 3-1. Â
- A Reeves two-run home run gave the Blue Hose a 5-1 advantage in the sixth. Â
- Ryan Ouzts homered in the eighth to make the score 6-1.Â
- Devin Chandler doubled and scored on a Jayden Sloan two-out double to trim the deficit to 6-2 in the ninth. Â
ON THE MOUNDÂ Â
- Kyler McIntosh (3-4) worked 6.0 innings, posting four strikeouts and giving up five runs on nin hits to take the loss for the Hornets.Â
- Mason McDaniel (4-2) scattered three hits over 3.1 scoreless innings pitched with four strikeouts as the winning pitcher. Â
INSIDE THE BOXÂ Â
- Randy Flores had three of the Hornets nine hits. Â
- Chandler finished 2-for-4 with a a double and a run scored.Â
- King and Sloan delivered RBI doublesÂ
- Hay, Cristian Lopez and Devin Chandler recorded singles for the Black and Gold.Â
