MONTGOMERY, Ala. | One of Montgomery's leading dental care providers, Designer Smiles Dental Studio, has partnered with Alabama State University's (ASU) Athletic Department.
 
In early February of this year, 2023,  Alabama  State  Athletics recognized Dr. Jennifer Richardson, owner of Designer Smiles Dental Studio, as the Hornet "Adidas Community Leader of the Game". From that encounter a partnership was developed through Hornet Sports Properties.  Dr. Richardson was excited at the opportunity to enhance the student-athlete experience at Alabama State University.
 
"My team and I were so honored when Alabama State athletics approached us to collaborate on this project and to develop this partnership for the enhancement of the student-athlete experience," said Richardson. "It is a rewarding opportunity to give back to the first HBCU that I loved, considering that I 'grew up' on the campus- when my late father Scott Billingsley, III, worked there and support the vision of the Athletic Department.  I look forward to continuing our partnership with the Athletic Department of ASU, and cheering on the Mighty Hornets."
 
Dr. Jennifer Billingsley Richardson is a native of Montgomery, Ala. She is a graduate of LAMP High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the
 
Xavier University of Louisiana. Upon graduation, she attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. She is a member of the Alabama Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. During her involvement with the Second District (Montgomery) of the Alabama Dental Association. Dr. Richardson has served as the treasurer and President. She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and Jack & Jill of America, Incorporated. She spends numerous hours in continuing education to further her dental expertise. When Dr. Richardson is not practicing dentistry or volunteering within the community, she enjoys spending time with her husband, ASU Alumnus, Anthony G. Richardson, children Kassidy and Karson, and other family and friends.
