MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Head Football Coach Eddie Robinson Jr. announced that Alabama State University will open the 2024 season in Orange Blossom Classic at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla., on Tuesday.

The Hornets will play North Carolina Central on Sunday, Sept. 1, before returning home for the first of six home games against Miles College on Sept. 7.

Alabama State will travel to Samford University on Sept. 14, and after a bye start Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) play Bethune-Cookman in Daytona Beach, Fla., on Sept. 28.

October begins with Homecoming against defending SWAC and HBCU National Champion Florida A&M on Oct. 5 followed by a visit from Mississippi Valley State on Oct. 12.

A pair of classics follow the clash with MVU as the Hornets take on Alabama A&M in the Magic City Classic on Oct. 26 in Birmingham, Ala., and Alcorn State in the Port City Classic on Nov. 2 in Mobile, Ala.

The final road game features Grambling State on Nov. 9 before closing out the 2024 season with three home games against Jackson State on Nov. 16, Prairie View A&M on Nov. 23, and Turkey Day Classic against Tuskegee on Nov. 28.
