MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State returns to the court this weekend with both programs playing a pair of matches.
The Alabama State women open its 2024 season on the road against Samford (0-1) in Birmingham (Ala.) on Saturday with a 1 p.m. start time. The Lady Hornets return four players from last year's roster including their No. 2 player
Sahra Bouchaala who finished 11-3 in that slot during the 2023 season in singles play.
They also return
Lizaveta Demchenko,
Bea Acena, and
Timothée Legaud who finished a combined 16-20 in singles. Acena also teamed with three different players in doubles and won a combined 10 matches.
The Lady Hornets will play a doubleheader with the men on Sunday at 1 p.m. against crosstown foe AUM at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center.
