MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State dropped its home opener to AUM 5-2 on a chilly Sunday afternoon at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center.
Alabama State (0-2) dropped the doubles point although it was able to pick up a win at No. 2 with the team of
Bea Acena and
Madalena Andrade picking up a 6-4 win. The Lady Hornets were able to pick up a pair of singles victories by
Carmelle Vial and
Timothée Legaud.
Vial won at No. 4 in three sets 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 while Legaud won her match at No. 6 in straight sets 6-4, 6-3.
