GRAMBLING, La. -- The Alabama State volleyball team lost to the Prairie View A&M in straight sets (22-25, 21-25, 12-25) in the opening round of the 2024 SWAC tournament.

Kaylen Hines led the Lady Hornets' offense with seven kills on the day. Breanna Swanson led them defensively with eight digs.

How It Happened

SET 1 | The Lady Hornets were in an early deficit, dropping the first set 25-22. PVAMU grabbed the advantage for good at 14-13 in a set tied up five times before the Lady Panthers took over in the second half of the stanza.

SET 2 | ASU then dropped the second set 25-21.The Lady Hornets fell behind on the first point and never clawed back into the lead before dropping the set.

SET 3 The Lady Hornets fell behind on the first point and fought from behind the rest of the way before falling in the set 25-12.
