BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Alabama State University place kicker Brandon Gilliam was selected the Specialist of the Week by the Southwestern Athletic Conference on Monday, November 24, 2024. 

Gilliam made 3-of-4 field goals to help Alabama State earn a 9-6 over Prairie View A&M on Saturday. He made a 42-yard field goal to give the Hornets a 3-0 lead in the first quarter. The Vicksburg, Miss., native made a 30-yard field goal with just over six minutes left in the fourth quarter to break the 6-6 tie. 

Gilliam has connected onf 17-of-25 field goal attempts, which are the most field goals made in a season since Preston Clark made 15-of-21 field goals in 2014.
