Alabama State falls at Oklahoma

NORMAN, Okla. |  The Alabama State Univeristy women's basketball team fell 110-46 to the Oklahoma Sooners at the Lloyd Noble Centeron on Sunday.

Justina Graham led the Hornets (2-7) with 10 points. Cordasia Harris added eight points and Amari Franklin chipped in as well with six points and two steals.

How It Happened

Alabama State struggled out of the gate, falling behind 35-18 at the end of the first quarter.

The Hornets continued to lose ground in the second quarter and faced a 68-29 halftime deficit.

Alabama State's deficit continued to grow after halftime, and the Hornets faced an 87-35 disadvantage heading to the fourth quarter. Alabama State took advantage of five Oklahoma turnovers in the quarter, scoring four points off of takeaways.

Alabama State could not pull any closer in the fourth, losing by a final of 110-46. Alabama State fired away from deep in the quarter, knocking down two shots to account for six of its 11 points.
