DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. --The Alabama State University softball team ad a tough outing on Friday, falling to the Bethune-Cookman University 10-2.
Junior Charity Bibbs (5-8) started and took the loss in the circle for Alabama State (11-15, 1-3).
At the plate, the Hornets were paced by sophomore Brooke Ramsey, who went 1-for-3 on the day with a double. Senior Jaeda Gardner furnished a standout effort as well, going 2-for-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Hornets were trailing 4-0 in the third inning when they first put runs on the board. Alabama State managed to push across two runs in the inning. The Hornets were unable to get any closer, as Bethune-Cookman added six runs to their tally on the way to a 10-2 final.
