MONTGOMERY, Ala. | The regular season comes to an end this weekend with Alabama State hosting a pair of games beginning Thursday night at the Dunn-Oliver Acadome.

Alabama State (12-17, 7-9 SWAC) hosts Southern on Thursday night before hosting the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) champion Grambling State on Saturday afternoon. A win in either game by the Hornets and losses by Alabama A&M and UAPB (both games) would lock the teams in a three-way tie for the seventh and eighth spots.

Alabama State and Southern (17-12, 11-6 SWAC) met in Baton Rouge (La.) on Feb. 12 with the Jaguars winning 73-62. The Hornets and Grambling State (16-13, 13-3 SWAC) met on Feb. 10 with Grambling State winning 74-68.
