Alabama St. earns 3-1 victory against Talladega

MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Alabama State scored three goals in the second half and rolled past Talladega College 3-1 Friday evening in a non-conference match-up at the ASU Soccer Complex.

Junior Rachel Mull scored two of the goals for the Lady Hornets.

"When we started not to force things we saw results and Rachel's off-the-ball work," said ASU head soccer coach Jodie Smith. "Felt like we were impatient in front of the goal, especially after going down a goal, but we rebounded."

How it Happened

Talladega grabbed a 1-0 lead when Autumn Wyatt scored in the 34th minute.

The Lady Hornets responded to tie things up with a goal from Lykke Johnsen-Morken in the 68th minute.

ASU went on top 2-1 on Mull's 82nd-minute goal. Mull scored her second goal in the 84th minute to clinch it for the Black and Gold.
