ATLANTA, Ga. --The Alabama State volleyball team lost to the Florida Gators in straight sets (13-25, 12-25, 11-25) on Thursday afternoon.
The non-conference loss moved Alabama State to 3-5 on the season.
A'Nylah Cobb finished with eight kills on the day to lead the Lady Hornets' attack. ASU received five digs from Sierra Scanlan to lead them defensively.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Lady Hornets were in an early deficit, losing a tough first set 25-13. Alabama State trailed by as many as 12 points as Florida never surrendered the lead in a set that was knotted up just once before the Gators took control.
SET 2 | A 25-12 second-set loss put Alabama State in a 2-0 deficit in the match. The Lady Hornets fell behind on the first point and fought from behind the rest of the way before dropping the set.
SET 3 | Florida finished the sweep with a third-set victory. The Lady Hornets lost the first point and never took the lead before losing the set 25-11.
