MONTGOMERY, Ala. | The University West Georgia scored a goal in the 89th minute to upend Alabama St. fell 2-1 on Sunday at the ASU Soccer Complex.
The loss dropped Alabama St.'s record to 1-4-0 overall.
HOW IT HAPPANED
Alabama State broke the 0-0 tie when Ariana James scored her first goal of the season in the 56th minute, assisted by Madison Chambers.
The Wolves leveled the game on a goal from Jade Butcher in the 79th minute.
West Ga. then broke the 1-1 tie on Angie Garces' 89th-minute goal, assisted by Butcher. The 2-1 score held to the end of the game.
