BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Freshman Nehemiah Hixon was selected as the SWAC Specialist of the Week following Alabama State's win over Texas Southern last week. 

Hixon's 99-yard kickoff return swung momentum back to the Hornets as ASU grabbed a 14-10 lead in the first quarter. Hixon returned three kickoffs for 125 yards on the day.
