BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) announced Thursday the 2025 All-SWAC Volleyball honors and Alabama State sophomore setter Kamrynn Clay was named the SWAC Setter of the Year in a vote of conference head coaches.
The Saint Hedwig, Texas native finished the regular season with 740 assists, 65 more than her nearest competitor. She also led the conference with her 7.47 assist per set average. Earlier this season, she reached the 1,000 career assists number and now is closing in on 1,200.
Clay also finished the season with 170 digs and 27 service aces.
Joining Clay on the first team are outside hitter Jyriah Morgan and middle blocker Kaylen Hines.
Morgan finished the season with 357 kills, good for the third-most in the conference. Her 3.69 kills per set average was third in the conference, while her .288 hitting percentage was seventh and she was fourth in the conference with 384.5 total points.
Morgan also finished the regular season with 49 total blocks (six solo).
Hines was one of the top middle blockers in the conference, finishing with 84 total blocks (23 solo) which was the fourth-most in the SWAC. Her 0.87 blocks per set average was seventh.
Hines was also an offensive force with 219 kills and a .295 hitting average.
