Alabama State continued to roll in the second, overcoming early service pressure from Texas Southern to pull away late and win 25–22 behind balanced scoring and timely defense.
The Hornets then sealed the sweep with another strong offensive push in the third set, hitting .354 as a unit to close out the match.
Texas Southern was led by Gracie Hill's 10 kills, while Lauren Battle and Kourtni Collier each added seven, but the Tigers could not slow down Alabama State's offensive rhythm.
