MONTGOMERY, Ala. Alabama State University softball seventh inning rally fell short in a 1-0 loss to the University of North Alabama on Friday at the Barbara Williams Softball Complex.
Freshman Kaitlyn Hill (0-1) got the ball to start for Alabama State (0-2) and took the loss. The right-hander went seven innings, giving up one run on three hits, allowing two walks and striking out one.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Alabama State managed zero chances with runners on third in the shutout, going a total of 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position. The Hornets last got a runner on third in the seventh, when freshman Ayana Frank made it 60 feet away from scoring with one out.
