MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Carmielle Vial clinch Alabama State University women's tennis 4-2 win over in state rival Alabama A&M on Sunday at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center.

Alabama State won the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to claim a 1-0 lead going into singles.

Melisa Mekic and Cleanne Pickel won on courts two and four to push the lead to 3-2 and set up Vial's 6-0, 6-7, (7-4, 6-2 over Valentine Abide Tala to end the match.
