Kesmat El Tawil was named the SWAC Women's Tennis Freshman of the Year and two teammates joined her on the All-SWAC squad on Thursday.

Carmelle Vial joined El Tawil were named to the All-SWAC First Team while Cleanne Pickel earned second team honors.

El Tawil posted an 11-2 record singles record and a 5-0 SWAC singles mark primarily at the No. 5 singles slot. She closed the year on a nine-match win streak in singles. El Tawil. In doubles, El Tawil was 8-6 overall and 5-1 in SWAC play.

Vial went 7-1 at No. 3 singles and as 8-1 in her last 10 matches to go 10-9 overall on the year. Vial was 8-4 overall at No. 4 doubles and 8-6 overall on the year. She went 6-1 down the stretch and was 5-1 in SWAC play.

Pickel was 7-4 at No.4 singles and 7-7 overall between No. 4 and No. 5 singles. She posted a 3-1 SWAC singles mark and team to go 4-2 in the SWAC and 7-7 overall in doubles.
