BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Alabama State University's Kameron Douglas was named the SWAC Newcomer and Hitter of the Week on Wednesday, May 6, 2025.

Douglas had a solid week at the plate, hitting .500 with two doubles, three home runs, nine RBI and three runs scored in four games.

In the Bethune-Cookman series, Douglas hit .583 with a double, three home runs, nine RBI and three runs scored. He also slugged. 1.417,  had a .543 on-base percentage and a 1.000 fielding percentage (10 chances).

Alabama State travels to Jacksonville State for a midweek game at Rudy Abott Field at Jim Case Stadium in Jacksonville, Ala.
