BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Alabama State University linebacker Jalil Lenore was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Monday, Sept. 8, 2025.

Lenore recorded four tackles with two tackles for loss and a fumble forced. His fumble forced led to an Alabama State score as part of a 17-point third quarter onslaught.

Alabama State hosts Miles College of its home opener on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. at ASU Stadium in Montgomery.
