MONTGOMERY, Ala. | The Alabama State University softball team struggled out of the gate, falling to Murray State University 9-2 at the Barbara Williams Softball Complex on Sunday.
Kaitlyn Hill (0-1) started and took the loss in the circle for Alabama State (1-2).
HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 7-0, the Hornets first put runs on the board in the fifth inning. Alabama State picked up a pair of runs in the frame. The Hornets were unable to get any closer, as Murray State added two runs to their tally on the way to a 9-2 final.
