MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Alabama State University softball suffered a tough 6-1 loss to Troy University at the Barbara Williams Softball Complex on Tuesday.
Kaitlyn Hill (0-5) started and took the loss in the circle for Alabama State (9-16). The right-hander went four innings, giving up one run on two hits, allowing four walks and striking out two.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Hornets got on the board immediately, starting their scoring with one run in the bottom of the first inning. Alabama State got an RBI single from Frank, scoring Brooke Ramsey from second base. The Hornets were unable to hold the lead, as Troy scored six times over the remaining six innings to grab the 6-1 win.
