HUNTSVILLE, AL | Camden Matthews and James Peterson combined to throw a three-hit shutout on Friday as the Alabama State University baseball team blanked the Alabama A&M, 10-0.
Matthews (2-0) started and picked up the win for Alabama State (16-16, 6-7), going 6.1 shutout innings while giving up two hits, walking two, and striking out two. Peterson was dealing out of the bullpen as well, going 1.2 shutout innings, allowing one hit.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Hornets took the lead for good in the second, scoring for the first time in the inning.
The Hornets also added runs in four more innings on the way to the 10-0 victory.
