MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State University Football, under the umbrella of the
Eddie Robinson, Jr. Football Camp, proudly announces the launch of the inaugural
Women's Football Experience—a high-energy, interactive, and inclusive event that invites women to step inside the full Hornet Football experience and feel the excitement, preparation, and pride that define game day at ASU.
Held on June 12 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at ASU Stadium, this immersive program is designed to educate women on football fundamentals, deepen engagement with ASU Football, strengthen community connection, elevate program visibility, and serve as a meaningful fundraising opportunity for the football program. Open to women ages 18 and up, the event welcomes participants of all athletic abilities and experience levels, from seasoned fans to those brand-new to the sport.

Eddie Robinson, Jr. "We want women to feel the energy of Hornet Football, learn the game in a fun and supportive environment, and enjoy the same excitement our players feel on game day. It is going to be hands‑on, high‑spirited, and something they will be talking about long after they leave the field."
Participants will receive an official ASU camp T‑shirt, nutrition snacks, a behind‑the‑scenes locker room tour, and a full game‑day experience led by ASU coaches, staff, and student‑athletes. Registration is $85 (including fees), and the program is capped at 150 participants.
A Full Game Day Journey: Three Phases
PHASE 1: Pre-Game
Participants begin their Hornet journey with:
- Check‑In and grab your event T‑shirt, and get ready for an unforgettable experience
- Try on official jerseys and helmets and capture a photo moment with Head Coach Eddie Robinson, Jr.
- Learn game day fueling tips, smart snack choices, and how athletes use nutrition to perform at their best
- Select grab‑and‑go healthy snacks to power you up for on‑field action
PHASE 2: Game Time
The on-field experience includes:
- Running through the Hornet tunnel with smoke, just like ASU Football on game day
- Get loose and game‑day ready with a dynamic warm‑up & stretch led by ASU staff
- Team meetings and learning football fundamentals, positions, and terminology
- Hands‑on instruction from coaches and student‑athletes
- A mini‑scrimmage, giving participants the chance to run plays and feel the thrill of competition
PHASE 3: Post-Game Cool Down
The evening wraps up with:
- Enjoy a simple, feel‑good cool‑down to help your body relax after the fun
- Wrap up the day with celebratory group photos on the field
- Receive a certificate commemorating the full Hornet Football experience
