BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Alabama State University Athletics took the semi-annual SWARMAS1 Golf Tournament on the road to the prestigious Greystone Golf and Country Club in Birmingham, Ala., on Wednesday.

The tournament featured over 80 teams (four per team) with the fundraising mission to benefit the Alabama State University Student-Athlete NIL Fund.

"I want "I want to thank all our sponsors, supporters, participates and volunteers that helped make this event a huge success " Vice President and Director of Athletics Dr. Jason Cable said. "Alabama State is blessed to have such strong support from HORNET NATION and the Magic City. Leave No Doubt!" 

The tournament kicked off this week's activities leading up to the Birmingham Football Classic pitting Alabama State University versus Southern University on Saturday, Aug. 29. The game kicks off at Historic Legion Field at 2 p.m. and will be televised on ESPNU.
