While the seasons of the Alabama State University teams are winding down and classes will soon be out for the summer break, there will still be plenty of action on the fields and courts of the ASU facilities.Â
Below is a breakdown—month by month—for each of the ASU athletic camps:
May campsWomen’s footballThe Brian Jenkins, Sr. women’s football clinic is scheduled for Saturday, May 16.
SoftballThe softball team will be holding several camps including a prospects camp by ASU coach Chris Steiner-Wilcoxson from Saturday, May 23 to Sunday, May 24 at the Barbara Williams Softball Complex.
The camp is open to prospective high school and junior college female student-athletes to train in a competitive environment that will prepare them for college softball at Alabama State.
The two-day camp will cost $85.Â
Check in will be at 9 a.m. Camp runs from noon until 6 p.m.Â

Women’s SoccerThe women’s soccer team will hold a one-day identification camp by ASU coach Jodie Smith on Saturday, May 30 at the ASU Soccer Field between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Schedule is as follows: 9-10 a.m. training, 10-11 a.m. games, 12-1:30 p.m. lunch and 1:30-3 p.m. tour by admissions.Â
Cost is $95 and includes lunch and a t-shirt.Â
The camp is open to prospective high school and junior college female student-athletes to train in a competitive environment that will prepare them for college soccer at Alabama State.
Check in is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. at the soccer locker room.Â
Bring a medical waiver (mail in registration only), soccer boots, cleats and shin guards, training gear including rain jacket, in door shoes (in case of inclement weather) and a water bottle.Â

June campsWomen’s VolleyballThe women’s volleyball team will hold a Summer All-Skills Camp by ASU coach Penny Lucas-White from Monday, June 15 through Wednesday, June 17 at Lockhart Gymnasium.
The camp is recommended for players of all ages and skill levels.Â
All campers will be grouped with individuals of their similar age and skill level in order to maximize their learning potential.
The registration cutoff date is June 13 at 11:59 p.m. (central time).Â
The cost for $195 for commuter campers and $250 for overnight campers.

SoftballASU coach Chris Steiner-Wilcoxson will offer two four-day skills camps for all ages.
The first camp will take place Monday, June 8 through Thursday, June 11 at the Barbara Williams Softball Complex.Â
Objectives and features of the camp include: quality softball instruction, hitting & defensive drills , competitive scrimmages , tour of ASU athletic facilities , a parent-coach Q&A and the opportunity to meet and learn from Alabama State University coaching staff.
Registration is open until filled. Cost is $125.Â
It will take place from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. with lunch offered in between for a cost of $6.Â

Boys ages 8 to those entering 12th grade are eligible to attend.
Campers receive instruction in fundamental skills, team concepts and principles of sportsmanship.
Each camper will receive a t-shirt, skill evaluation and a certificate.
Hours are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

FootballFootball coach Brian Jenkins Sr. and the Hornets football team will hold five dates for camps with four Swarm & Sting dates and one date for a 7-on-7 passing camp at various locations.
The dates are as follows:Â Friday, June 12 at the New ASU Stadium ($35 per person), Saturday, June 13 for the 7-on-7 passing camp for high school athletes only at the New ASU Stadium ($35 per person, $350 per team and $200 per second team), Tuesday, June 16 at Rip Hewes Stadium in Dothan ($40 per person), Wednesday, June 17 at Murphy High School in Mobile ($40 per person), and Friday, June 19 at Parker High School in Birmingham ($40 per person).
Boys from grade 6Â to those entering 12th grade are eligible to attend.
The camp will begin at 8 a.m. on Friday, June 12 at Hornet Stadium.
The camp is designed to help campers maximize their potential and performance in skill-specific positions.
